Defining Liberal Fascists Let’s be clear. Being Leftist does not inoculate you from behaving like a Fascist; just as authoritarianism is not the exclusive vice of the Right Wing. The Nazis, after all, were Socialist and lest we forget, Joseph “Dictator” Stalin and Chairman Mao Zedong were Communists, while Francisco “Fascist” Franco in Spain was, in fact, a Left Wing Socialist. The most archetypal examples of Totalitarianism in the 20th Century were incarnated by Left Wing ideologues and simply, using Liberal jargon with the aim to appeal to compassion and tolerance in order for you to advance a deeply authoritarian agenda does not make that agenda less offensive. What makes a movement Fascist is the degree, to which it does not accept dissent, its refusal to tolerate other opinio

Same-Sex Marriage and LGBT: From the Legal, Medical and Maqasid Syariah Perspectives
On December 7, 2017, Australia became the 24th country to recognise same-sex marriages. Only 4 Members of Parliament (MPs) voted against the motion in the Australian Parliament to legalise same-sex marriages. The Australian bill only needed to amend the phrase from "the union of a man and a woman" to "union of two people". Same-sex marriages was first recognised in occidental countries almost 20 years ago. Netherlands was the first country to do so in 2000 when its parliament voted 3:1 in support of legalising gay marriages. The law that allows gay couples the rights to marry, divorce and adopt a child was made only by amending a phrase in the legislation to include: "Marriage can be contracted by two persons of different or same sex". Iceland allowed gay marriages in 2010 and its Pr...

Rang undang-undang baru Australia hanya perlu menukar perkataan“the union of a man and a woman” atau penyatuan lelaki dan wanita kepada “the union of two people” atau penyatuan dua manusia.

Read MorePolitical correctness has revealed itself in the West to have been a liberal Trojan horse carrying a battalion of neo-Fascists in its belly, who emerge at the slightest perceived offence. They triumph at browbeating any and every differing opinion into silence. Not surprisingly, this Trojan horse has begun to appear in Malaysia over the last few years, using many of the same tactics adopted in the West. They promote “tolerance” for “alternative lifestyles” or for “marginalised people;” usually referring to homosexuals and transgender individuals. But this “tolerance” means, in practice, compelled speech (forcing people to use particular gender neutral pronouns, etc), suspension of legitimate debate (over definitions of gender, for example) by classifying it as “hate speech,” and g...
Read MoreThe right to freedom of expression, as protected under Article 10 of the Federal Constitution, is accompanied by both the implicit and legal responsibility to exercise that right responsibly and in ways that do not disrupt the peace and harmony of our Malaysian society. In a country like Malaysia, where all religious faiths coexist and are respected, the Atheist Republic movement has decided that it should be free to malign and dishonour these faiths in the name of freedom of expression. They are gravely mistaken. Atheism, unless they are willing to admit otherwise, is not a religion; it has no rituals, no obligations, no places of worship and no practices. It does not qualify for the protections afforded to religious communities. An Atheist can be an Atheist privately, and there is not...

Read MoreBetween July and September 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia (Wisma Putra) held consultations with several local civil society organisations (CSOs) primarily to explore a variety of human rights concerns in Malaysia. Human rights practices in the country had come under scrutiny following Malaysia’s participation in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), a process for regularly evaluating the human rights practices of UN members initiated by the UN General Assembly in 2006. Throughout the consultative sessions, the progress and implementation of human rights measures in Malaysia were discussed and the various CSOs in question were encouraged to be forthright about their concerns and to identify current and future challenges. We laud and thank the Malaysian government for i...
Read MoreIn a recent statement, Cheah Swee Hee of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) claimed that the ban on frontline hotel staff from wearing hijab was an International Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for “all hotels”;[1] yet in the same article, hotel manager Syukri mentions that he left working at one hotel and opted to start working in another hotel that does not have such ban. And, of course, any international traveler will know that Cheah Swee Hee’s claim is inaccurate. Staffs wear hijab in hotels all around the world; the Gulf States, Turkey, Indonesia, the UK, the US, do not impose restrictions against religiously mandated attire for their employees; and clearly, many hotels in Malaysia do not either. In short, there is no international SOP banning the hijab; and yes, it is si...
